ghost alarm problems

I used to have my alarm go off on my titan at 6:45 AM. I do not need that anymore so I unchecked all the alarm boxes but the alarm is still going off at 6:45 AM. Any ideas why?

Re: ghost alarm problems

i had a similar problem on my 6700, the alarm went off when ever it felt like, also if i reset my phone, when it booted up every alarm would go off to notify me of any messages, nonstop! they would go off when ever they felt like it, and i had no option to dismiss the alarm too. i had to disable my notification setting entirely to get it to stop. what sucked was by doing that, i got no notificatiion of vm's, text, email, ext... better than going off nonstop though! in the long run i had to do a hard reset to fix it. hasn't happened since.

Re: ghost alarm problems

well, i don't have it that bad. i just can't figure out how to get my old alarms from going off. i'd rather not have to hard reset my phone. i'll fool around with it some more and see what happens

I had that problem too what fixed it for me was

start > settings > home > items then uncheck the today timeout check box.

Re: ghost alarm problems

i dont use the standard alarm clock because of this. try SpoonAlarm. It uses MP3's and runs as a process after turning it on, so killing apps doesnt close it. google it.

oops yea today screen my bad. The today timeout essentially puts the phone in a hybernate style mode. for some reason this has a glitch since at least wm5 that makes the notifications (alarm calls txt vmail etc) not wake up the phone to sound the alarm.
