Official NooB thread for Mogul/Titan

I just purchased a Sprint mogul and have been searching around for some tips, hacks, tricks, etc...

I didn't find any thread that actually helped out a complete noob. Anyway, I apologize if theres already such threads but I was not able to find them. I think there should be a central thread for noobie questions so congestion will be limited.

Things others and I might need help with are:

1. Good places to download software/pluggins
2. How to install these software
3. How to get GPS working
4. Must have apps for the phone
5. How to play youtube videos
6. Or even links to threads that are beneficial

Thanks for the welcome. I know how these forums work. I'm a regular on different automotive forums. I get annoyed when people do not search as well. I just htought it would be a good idea to have a central "noobs" thread so you guys don't get anymore of these questions.

but hey, if you guys don't think its necessary. I'll be happy to delete this thread and search on my own.

btw, I tried searching... but the mogul that I purchased was used and when I turn it on it, at the HTC screen it says TEST ONLY NOT FOR SALE at the bottom.

are you guys familiar with this?

The device you have has the GPS test ROM on it. There are really no negatives to that ROM until you start getting more advanced in your usage. You might eventually want to upgrade to an official ROM or flash to a custom ROM. If I were you, I'd stick with an official ROM 'til you get used to the ins and outs of the device. Have fun!
