Re: HTC PPC 6800 (Alltel) reflash with current ROM image?
Welcome Here...................(Your First Post)
You,"If I do this (re-flash my phone), will it "wipe" it clean?" Me, "Yes." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You, "Can anyone tell me how to get back there so I can make sure that I know what the value is prior to "re-flashing" and thus not having to call them and get them to help me fix it again?" Me, "Click Start - Programs - File Explorer - My Device - Windows. Scroll down in the Windows file till you see the EPST and click it."

Re: HTC PPC 6800 (Alltel) reflash with current ROM image?
Well I do appreciate the reply but I think I ran into an issue. It appears that the ROM won't update itself. At least it wouldn't let me do it. Has anyone else been able to overwrite the ROM being at the same revision level?

Re: HTC PPC 6800 (Alltel) reflash with current ROM image?
Prt7u, if you want to re-iniatilize the phone, why don't you try a hard-reset?
It will erase all programs in the phone, even your contacts. Bake sure you backup all your contacts and important files to a pc or microsd before doing this. for the htc 6800 it's the buttons combo (hold them): left and right soft-keys and single click in the reset button. |
This post has been thanked 1 times. |

Nickel Thanks for the reply. I did end up doing just that. But, I want to be able to relock and reflash the phone with the current ROM from Alltel that is currently available.
