OMJ mw 6.1 customizer app

first off, i'm a total ppc newb. i got my mogul about a month ago and so far it's been a really cool toy for texting and calling people. i'd like to unlock it's potential, but i'm a little lost. i downloaded OMJ's customizer app because it had the HTC home customizer as well as some other cool add ons, but before i installed it i noticed that it has a less current rom. i'm currently running the 3.35.651.2 ROM and don't want to screw anything up by installing the OMJ app. anyone have any insight in the matter or experience with this app?

I think you might be a little confused.


If it is an application that is in cab file format then the rom type doesnt matter. For the most part. Only issue you would have is that the program is for an older version of WM and is not compatible with WM6 and WM6.1. But from what I can think of pretty much all of the older programs work on the newer roms.

However if you are talking about a custom rom. Im pretty sure that it is not a good idea to flash back to an older version.


If you are looking into really unlocking the potential of the mogul look into custom roms cooked by yourself with the kitchen. Really the only way to go. Just make sure that you read, read, read and then just for good measure read the tutorials again before you flash your rom. It can totally mess up your phone if not done properly.

I have used the kitchens for making my own roms for a while now. First I used the older kitchens for my 6700 now Im using the latest kitchen for cooking roms onto my mogul. I personally have not had any problems.

All those are free.

I like wisbar advance 3 for start menu skinning but it is a pay program.

However quickmenu has a cascading start menu like WA3 but its free.
