I hope it is just DMU setting ... or at least that support would be willing to program a test ESN and then let me change it back...

So evidently we had already tried that DMU key resetting as well as changing ESN to another phone and back!

The good news is that I'm getting Samsung Omnia!

(out of my pocket of course!
