To Big Dawg and elsogrande:

What extended battery do you have? Because the one that I am looking at is dirt cheep in cost (only about ten bucks). Thanks...
I got mine from Sprint....I love it (all though Sprint put me thru hell to get it) Since upgrading to 6.1 and using No2Chem roms, i find myself not using it as much as the regular batteries but in my opinion it is definitely worth it. I think i have the 2400mah....not sure about the "cheapies" off of Ebay...some say they worked great, some say they didnt....i guess it just depends....let us know how urs works, cause i can always use another extended battery

You're not thinking big enough. I gave up on finding an OEM-sized battery with higher capacity, so I rigged up a makeshift generator out of an old lawnmower engine and some junk I had lying around in the garage.

I now have the forum's only gasoline-powered phone. It's kind of difficult to hear calls now, so I'm thinking of rigging up some sort of external speaker phone system and a throat mike.

I wouldn't say the only gasoline-powered phone. I based my generator on a power stroke 6.5 turbo diesel engine. My Mogul now has a talk time of 3,493 hours, or 1,176 miles, whichever comes first. The second 42 gallon tank really helped with that killer talk time and if I am on the phone for more than a few minutes I get a great buzz from the diesel fumes.

I also added a mild-mannered Rockford Fosgate Power 2000 amplifier with a set of 18" Fosgate subwoofers and Kenwood Excellon mids and highs, for listening to my calls with "speakerphone." For a microphone I just use a slightly modified bull horn. Comes in handy when someone cuts my phone off in traffic because I can use the siren sound to let them know I am upset with them.

Though my Mogul doesn't fit in my pocket anymore, or my garage, I really like the ability to talk without worry of my battery draining on me. Next I am thinking of getting a set of 26" chrome rims for the generator and maybe some hydraulic action....
