YouTube Quick Search
If you're like me, you get tired of waiting for the main YouTube page to load so you can search for your favorite video. What I've done here is for the web page challenged, I've taken just the essential search form from YouTube which allows you to load a tiny search page that results in full youtube.com results.
Cut the JavaScript, cut the zillion unrelated preview icons, boom -- quick search. I take absolutely no credit for this but if anyone uses the "Desktop" version of YouTube on their phone like I do (TCPMP/FlashBundle), you'll appreciate not having to scroll all over the place to search for a video. Since I only use PIE for full screen YouTube, this is now my homepage and if you like, it can be yours too. http://www.greyhat.org/youtube/

Not really, because when a service like ytpocket.com closes shop, the downloadable YouTube search page will still be on your device. Plus, I'm not offering this as a service This is more for my own personal use, and you can use it too if you wish. These YouTube parsers are a dime a dozen. I can't get used to using one, swear by it on my mobile devices, and have it one day cease to exist... |

Re: YouTube Quick Search
Furthermore, after testing it, ytpocket.com opens the video with an mms:// address which brings up Windows Media but never loads on my 6800.... O_o

Aww. I figured with "pocket" in the name that it might've provided out-of-the-box playing for good ol' Windows Media. If I'm going to use TCPMP again I might as well stick to the PIE hack. |
