Notification for inbox sub-folders

I am using Exchange to push mail to my XV6800. I have rules setup in Outlook to automatically move emails to certain subfolders in the Inbox when the arive (ex. Email from the boss gets moved to folder Boss). I have setup the important folders I need to be synced to my phone. The question I have is.. Is there a way to have the email notification trigger when mail hits folders not in the root inbox directory. Example: my today screen shows I have 1 unread email but I actually have 1 unread in my inbox and 2 others in inbox subfolders. Hence the problem when I have no new emails in the inbox but a rule has moved a new email to a subfolder I do not get notified.
Sorry if that was TMI
Thanks

Re: Notification for inbox sub-folders

i dont think there is

if you close outlook when away from it, all mail will goto your inbox until you reopen outlook. not the best solution, but worth a shot

Re: Notification for inbox sub-folders

Actually the rules are server-side rules so they run on the corporate Exchange server regardless of if Outlook is open or not. Thanks

Re: Notification for inbox sub-folders

TO be honest I have tried doing some kind of notification as well. What I have done to resolve this is to simply create a EX server side rule that creates a copy into the subfolder and if I reply then I move the message(s) to the subfolder at a later via the mobile Outlook or full client. I hope that helps you out.
