Re: Mogul running REALLY SLOW? Freezing? WTF?

its just started happening to me today. all day long. i found a link somewhere where it said the sms or mms thread on wm6.1 was bad and casuing the slowdown. just dont remember where it was. i recently upgraded to wm6.1 havent had a problem with it for about a month now. all of a sudden today its slow as hell. i have the same programs i always use: skyfire, aim, virtual pool, tiger woods golf. it worked perfect with windows 6.0. i will say i did just install the software to send picture and video mail (mms) i uninstalled it, so maybe that was it. any help would be great, cause i dont want to do a hard reset.

There's a good possibility that you've accumulated a bunch of junk files. That will certainly slow your device down, especially the Titan/Mogul/6800, as it has limited memory to begin with. Get a clean up app, such as MemMaid or SK Tools and that should help the performance

def agree here, i clean mine up once a week, to keep it healthy..

-----------------------------

also none of you really said what programs ur running.. the offical Sprint Pic Mail, is junk and leaks all over and u get memory issues all the time..use someguysmms, best around for free, and if u pay the 5 bucks once its even better..

most of the weather plugins ou there are memory hogs too, especially HTC Home's weather tab, i know that one from experience...

also, when your deleting these programs, ur waiting 60seconds, then doing a soft rest right??? this is an important step...

dont just hard reset, your phone will run fine fterwards, but youll never know what caused it and youll just load the exact same problem back into it..

itll take you time, but trial and error, first..

one last thng...i probably have 60 apps/programs in my phone... if ur having memory issues, just leave the cab file in your phone, and just install it as u use it, the uninstall afterwards, reset and ur good again(of course u only wanna do this for things u dont use very often)
