Iz there a way u can change the background or get different icons

Yes there are. Go into Settings > Today screen and there you can change the backgrounds. To use another picture you can copy them across using active sync. Open up the picture in Pictures and Videos > Select Menu and choose to use it as your background and then you can select the amount of fade you want to have.
