Re: block phone numbers..

I've been reading about these programs but never before thought to ask... Which of these programs do any of you know for certain will actually block the caller immediately (as to not give the caller the notion that he/she has just been a rejected caller?)

Question Re: block phone numbers..

call firewall is good, but the downside is the numbers that you are entering to either block or accept MUST BE EXACT.... meaning the area code...or the brackets etc.... hopefully they update that....

as for magicall..it sucks.... people know that your phone is being picked up and hung up....sometimes if youre at a noisy place when the phone auto picks up, they can hear your background..... as far as the features...i cannot enter my own special contact list in the accept only..... maybe i have to seperate my contacts from my phone book in groups before i use that feature, its annoying and i was trying to dodge my friends calls after downloading it, and they STILL were able to call me....which made it obvious i was not picking up their calls......

maybe someone has better options.....

MagiCall 2.0 has improved the action "pick up/hang up". The caller will not hear the backgound between picking up and hanging up.

You are able to enter a list of numbers to one rule. You can enter them manually, just use ';' to separate them. To add phone numbers from phone book or call log, select [Menu]>[Select Outlook Contacts] or [Menu]>[Select Call Logs], when the field [Phone #] is having focus.

MagiCall is rule based, and rules in the list are executed from top to bottom. So users are able to make complicated combinations. For example, accept contacts and block all others.
This is more powerful than other white/black list based software, also it makes MagiCall complicated to use, because you have to define filters, operations, time, etc. by yourself.

More details about usage can be found from www.mobiion.com/mgcguide.html or www.mobiion.com/forum

PS: MagiCall won the best call blocker/rejecter 2007 award on PocketPC Magazine.

Re: block phone numbers..

Magicall is the best.. hands down... it's not even close. it blocks call and text messages, but still keeps a log so that you know what you missed. You can leave your phone laying around and it won't make a sound if someone on your filter list calls or text you. It's very powerful. I've been using it for 6 months.
