Reg Question

Quick question,
Which registry key is it that will change the "lock" function on the today screen to use S2U instead of the default locking function? (that is if it's possible) Thanks.

If you install S2U2 it autostarts when you power down the device. Unless you must have a power down button on the Today screen you should be able to remove the "lock" key and use the hardware power button.

If you still need a button on the today screen to activate S2U2 try PowerOff.....

PowerOff is a tiny but handy utility which does nothing but turns OFF your PPC. Just like you press on the Power Button. You can put it on your Today Screen so you don't need to press on the Power Button to turn off your PPC. Just simply press on the PowerOff icon (wherever you put it).

PowerOff should work on any Pocket PC with an ARM (including XScale) CPU. It only takes about 5kb memory space.

Installation Guide:

Just copy the proper cab file to your PPC and install it with any file explorer. A shortcut (PowerOff.lnk) will be created automatically under:

/Windows/Start Menu/Programs

If you just need the screen turned off... then download and install ScreenOff.... it will turn off the screen without closing any running programs (i.e. music players, gps etc).

I have included an example of my Today screen with both Screenoff and Poweroff installed from the ppc2003 cab files included in the Zip folders below. Both are tiny and work as advertised.

Remember to click "Thanks" if this works for you
