Mogul Signal strenght on EVDO??...

Has anyone noticed the Mogul's signal strenght on EVDO Rev. A running the latest radio (version 3.35.04)? I have been using a brand new mogul for a week now and i have never gotten more than 4 bars on EVDO rev. A. But when i'm in a call, the signal strenght is 100% full bars most of the time while on the phone. any one else experiencing this???
(btw i'm the Philadelphia, PA)....hope to hear your thoughts, experiences, etc on this...

same here in Louisville, KY. My internet on my phone though really flies.

yeah I've noticed it too, but never really questioned it because nothing seems sacrificed. even out by my house where signal is horrible, my data speeds a pretty fast even on 2-3 bars.

Same here in Miami, Florida. Also I have noticed that the signal fluctuates alot going to high, then no bars, then only two. Occasionally, I get dropped to 1X during a data session.

i agree on the speed...it is really fast still, even though the signal only has 3-4 bars at most on EVDO rev. A.
I THINK THIS IS THE NEW FULL SIGNAL BARS (4 BARS) FOR REV. A.
Also, my bars do "disappear" for a few seconds when hanging up and the data is connected.

BTW, i spoke with a support rep from sprint, and he mentioned that REV. A was mostly done for upgrading the Upload speed on the network more than anything. When i had the apache (ppc-6700) about 2 weeks ago, i could get the same download speed as the Mogul, but he upload speed increased by 400% on the mogul vs. the apache....so the rep could be right...

Mine has been dong this all along from the original release ROM before the REV A update. Whenever it was EVDO I'd never see it go above 4 bars, but make a call (or send a text message) and it switched to full bars with a 1X indicator. After a week or two I just forgot about it 'cause from what I could see it wasn't hindering the performance.

I live in Miami too and for the last 2 days I have been waking up with a full bar of 1X. It goes back to EV around 9:00.

alright now you fools are just jinxing people... cause it just happened to me while i was on a phone convo... call comes in, i got evdo, during call drops to 1x... hang up call, back to evdo... shut this thread down PRONTO...

we are discussing the signal bars quality on EVDO, not wether it switches 1x or not.
