Re: Switching time zone
I assume that you want the time zone to change automatically while you are traveling? I don't travel so I do not have a need for this, but try searching the forums because I know I have seen this question before. Here is one of the other threads on this subject...

Re: Switching time zone
I can't speak for him, but I know I do. I had the 700wx before the Mogul and it automatically changed the time zones, so it obviously is possible on Windows Mobile. Just how do we implement it on our Moguls...?

CityTime for Pocket PC version 2.8.4 http://www.codecity.net/prodctppc.htm Quote "The 'Location' feature allows you to automatically and accurately adjust your Pocket PC's location and timezone when traveling. Fully automatic daylight savings time means remote city times are always correct. Onscreen DST indicators allow you to see at a glance any cities which are currently in daylight savings time." I have not tried this, but will give it a go when I next travel to see if the auto change timezone feature works as advertised. If you find this helpful when travelling please let me know and click "Thanks" |

Re: Switching time zone
What I would love to have is to be able to change timezones and not have outlook change all of my appointment times.. If I enter an appointment time it is for the location I am going to be in. I do not calculate what time the appointment will be in my current location because I don't care, just what time it will be when I arrive at the meeting location. Grrrr
Sorry, just my weekly rant. |

Re: Switching time zone
I was wondering the same thing (regarding our Moguls not auto-updating)... recently came across the GPSToday app (see thread at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=370384) and just made a post with a feature request that I hope will be in a future release (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=158)... basically the idea is that it would take your latest GPS lock, feed it to a server online to return the timezone, and update your visiting time based on that.
