Re: HTC original opening screen
Here are the two files that you are looking for...
Using the PPCGeeks kitchen (BuildOS), use the HTC_smart_mobility file for your boot splash and main splash. Enable the startup animation within the kitchen. Unzip and rename the SPCS_startup to wmstartup_ani.gif I attached to this post. I was unable to replace the wmstartup_ani.gif directly through activesync. Therefore, within the kitchen, I went into oemizer, selected files and shortcuts, and added my wmstartup_ani.gif file and created the oem. Once you create the oem, you must select it in the kitchen via a checkbox. It will say My Personal OEM. Build your ROM and it will automatically copy over the default animation with the sprint animation that originally came with the Mogul. Hope that helps. It worked well for me. |

I'm adding the Smart Mobility splash for future updates right now. PS: An OEM with the sprint animation and instructions can be found in my sig.

Re: HTC original opening screen
For the boot animation the following works....
http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/arc.../t-139416.html ive even changed the screen after that with the sprint moving logo and HTC logo. just save a 240x320 .gif file in the windows folder as SPCS_startup.gif(overwrites the original) or so you dont over write the OEM one...i just named it SPCS_startup2.gif. and went into the registry using a registry editor and changed the startup animation from SPCS_startup.gif to SPCS_startup2.gif. worked like a charm! Startup Amination i used: http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i1...S_startup2.gif And for the Boot image...... Intro: Splash Screen Randomizer is a simple tool that launches in the background at startup and swaps out the Welcome Splash screen with a random splash screen from a folder that can be defined by you. How To Use As always you can drag .png or .bmp images into your splashes folder to add them into the loop. To use an image that is not .bmp or .png. Choose "Use Specific Screen" then find the file in the newly enabled browse box. This will scale the image and save it to your splashes directory with a .png extension When you install Splash Screen Randomizer It will create a folder in \My Documents\Splashes (You can change this folder after install if you want) Depending on which version you download you may have 1 splash screen or 13 in your splashes folder. The normal version only includes the splash screen that I released a while back called Merlin XP(which accounts for 200KB of the cab size).(In 1.2.5 + the normal version includes black_shadow69's black splash b/c it is 48kb rather than 200). While the other has one of nuthin's splash screens and a whole bunch of black_shadow69's. You can change the Splashes directory by launching "SplScrnRndStg" From the Programs menu. At this point you can change the settings manually by editing the .xml file in the "Program Files\SplashScreenRandomizer" Folder. http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=441430 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=383838 |
