Agreed, by far, Palringo is the best I've used.

To pick on it a little, I don't like how it combines all your buddies in one list, it should have it separated such at AIM is under one tab, while MSN is in another. Maybe there's a way to change it as such? I have yet to find it.

IM+ is the best. Uses less than a megabyte of ram, runs in the background without an issue, loads fast, and does every messenger out there

I like palringo myself. Nice and simple and seems to have a small footprint. Uses all sorts of messengers and is nice and straight forward.

jive is useless in its current state on windows mobile , it is an alpha. It crashes a lot. And lacks many features

I second this! I've used JiveTalk for about 2 weeks now. It was new so I was fully prepared to ditch it after a few hours. Haven't yet. It is Alpha, and it does lack features, but it has the basics which is all I need for an IM on my PPC.

Its GUI is pretty cool, very simple and easy to understand. I has NEVER crashed on me, runs in the background and doesn't hog a lot of my mem. Even when the phone screen is turned off, it notifies my just like a text, so I don't miss a convo or anything. I know this sounds kinda corny.

I use it all the time in class and I have no complaints, even though its in Alpha testing. I've use palringo, won't work on Alltel it seems, IM+ was too complicated. You have nothing to worry about with JiveTalk. Try it out.

I just got Palringo and it seems pretty decent. What's this about JiveTalk and an incompatibility with the hardware keyboard? I see something on their site about a problem and a patch. Did you guys run into this?

Theres this application called Palringo, it's free. Supports MSN, AIM, ICQ, Yahoo!, etc... It's great, and it can auto connect too if you want it to.
