Phone bricked itself, help needed

I searched the site but I am not exactly sure if this situation has been brought up before.

I was texting on my phone last night, (and actually in the middle of an argument) when I decided to quickly restart my phone. When I did, the main HTC screen that appears as soon as you power on the phone (rom 3.35) appears, with the red writing of what rom, and radio im using. Those lettes disappear and then the HTC screen stays up. I even let it sit all night, I woke up with the issue.

Anyone have any Idea what happened?

btw- this was a refurb that I just got less than a week ago, the ineternet has not been working and now this. My 1st mogul was a tank

Try taking the battery out for a minute then put it back in. If that doesnt work, try a hard reset.

Re: Phone bricked itself, help needed

if that doesn't work, you might end up re-flashing, or just take it in..

I've had this happen once or twice, but i resolved it with pulling the battery.. i don't know why it'd do that. Maybe a refurb issue that wasn't resolved..

Re: Phone bricked itself, help needed

I did the hard reset with the two softkeys and reset button. It worked even though it stayed at the htc start screen for a while. Wierd, Im mad I have to reload all my contacts but its not too bad. Its def is a refurb but I also have insurance. The data services hasnt worked on it since I've gotten it, and I've been too lazy to call sprint. Anyone else have a phantom bricking?
