ActiveSync random starts...happening to anyone else?

I downloaded the new ROM from HTC and have noticed some improvements but this is a new problem. whenever I go into the start menu ActiveSync will have started by itself. This happens 4-5 times a day. I have gone into the program to check the schedule but the option is not available to open (it is grayed out). Anyone have this happening or know about it and how to fix it? Thanks
