Cingular to Sprint....possible?

Hey guys I am new here to the forums and had a question. My roommate has a the Mogul or Titan but for cingular, and I was wondering if it was possible to flash it or something to make it work for sprint? Is this possible? That would be really convient

cingular= GSM
Sprint= CDMA

2 different things..

. Hey another question. Anyone have anything to say about the Touch vs. the Mogul? I know the touch looks nicer and is more like the iphone but the mogul or titan has better functionality. I am currently in the market for my first smart phone and am choosing between the two....

I wouldn't say the mogul has more functionality, I can do absolutely everything on my touch I could a mogul. but if you need wifi or keyboard then you want a mogul. if you can live with a software keyboard and are paying for data plan anyway you may want the touch. it's a personal preference, I love my touch.

what do you mean by wifi. I know what it is but the touch does not have wifi? Also can you elaborate what you mean by data flow? Sorry for the dumb questions but that how you learn

I have had both the Touch and the Mogul... now I only have a Mogul.

The Mogul has the following attributes that the Touch does not:

WiFi: wireless access to wireless networks, like at Starbucks or perhaps your house.

Rev A.: Generally faster download and upload speeds via the Sprint EVDO data network (requires a data plan).

Hardware keyboard: Nice qwerty style keyboard with backlight for those "typing in the dark" moments.

Internal GPS: Works great with pay applications like TomTom and also with free applications like Live Search and Google Maps.

While I will admit I did like the additional memory in the Touch, I was not that wild about the onscreen keyboard, even though I tried probably 4-5 other vendors (spb, resco, etc).

Ultimately, I would not trade my Mogul for three Touches...

yeah the touch has no wifi, for REV A and GPS it's just a matter of time, and using touchpal and I can type as fast as I can on hardware keyboard. I wouldn't trade my touch for a mogul. although I like both. again it depends on what you would rather have.

Last time I read up in the Vogue forums (two weeks ago) everyone of knowledge (from PPCGeeks that I respect) stated that the chipset was different in the Vogue and the Mogul... and that the Vogue chipeset from QC would not support GPS, per the vendor specs.

For your sake I hope that has changed or they are all wrong...
