Re: The Seidio 3200MAH Battery or the Mugen 3600MAH Battery

I just bought a Seidio 3200 battery and am returning it today (box is on my desk). Put the battery in my XV6800 and charged for 8 hours. It would not turn on at all. I took it out and put back in a couple of times, then it worked. In the middle of the night it just turned off and I ended up late for work since I use my phone as my alarm. Again it would not turn on. Put my old battery back in and no problems. Also the battery door fit sucks!

Re: The Seidio 3200MAH Battery or the Mugen 3600MAH Battery

I have the Sedio 3200 mAh, love it hands down. Never had reason to call CS (email inquiries were slooow) but if "Seidioseidio" is around in this forum or another, I'd request (his/her) help, seems to be the best help vs other options.

Getting the Rubber-case + Belt clip BTW (The reason why I didn't go with Mugen)

Re: The Seidio 3200MAH Battery or the Mugen 3600MAH Battery

I just got my 3200 battery yesterday. What I found out is that you have to remove the black plastic on the bottom of the battery. This will allow charging (The phone has contacts that needs to be made on the battery case). When I first put the new battery in I got a red LED, After looking at the old battery the new battery has a plastic film covering the back. It needs to be exposed to work properly. I guess there is no mention of this in the install of the new battery by Seidio. I guess that this is on the new battery to stop it from shorting out during shipping. The new 3200 battery has been on the charger since 6 PM last night and it 5:30 AM now it has a green LED. So I hope before you send it back try and remove the black film if thats your problem. If you did I have no answer to your delima. On a new note the plastic belt clip is the same for both cases on the 3200 battery or the stock battery clip with the black plastic cases.

SEIDOSEIDO: please change your instructions to say to remove the protective black film on the new battery before installing the new battery!

Re: The Seidio 3200MAH Battery or the Mugen 3600MAH Battery

I know this is about extended batteries but I would offer an alternative. I have two regular batteries and a cradle that will charge a battery out of the phone as well as the phone. I almost never set the phone in the cradle because I just switch batteries when one gets low. It is incredibly convenient, no big bulge on the back. When I need extra power when travelling or camping, I just throw the extra battery in my pocket. If you like the extended batteries then great, but if you just need to ensure your phone lasts all day, this is a great option.

Re: The Seidio 3200MAH Battery or the Mugen 3600MAH Battery

I just found a 1700 Mah battery that fits the regular slot. That's a like a 35% increase in battery life. Going to try it out and let you all know how it goes. It could be shady, but for only $15 I'm willing to try it out.

Mugen has had an 1800mAh battery for a long time that fits with the stock battery door.

Re: The Seidio 3200MAH Battery or the Mugen 3600MAH Battery

i don't think 8 hour initial charge is long enough for these 3200/3600 mAH batteries. i think 12 hours is officially recommended.
