Can anyone in SoCal help a newbie out

Hey everybody I keep reading and read about all these great things our phone can do and as much as I love it as is I feel I can make it better. So I was wondering if someone in the 818 could help a newbie out. You know I feel it's easier to learn on hands then reading. Thanks
