Problem with Beaming

Hello everybody, i'm currently running nex's 3.35 sprint rom and evrything seems to be good except my beaming ability. When I try to beam files or cabs to my wife's phone my phone tells me "error in function 'socket': function not supported! Can anybody help me please.

Re: Problem with Beaming

hopefully they can cab it up when they locate the issue, but its more likely to be something that only a flash can fix.

Re: Problem with Beaming

this was the most relevant thread I could find when I searched
I flashed a ROM using PPCKitchen, one of no2chem's basekits, and I can't even turn beam on. It was mentioned that beaming is an ongoing problem, should I not worry about not being able to turn it on, or would that be a phone issue rather than a ROM issue? Sorry if you consider this a threadjack

This is a known issue with the latest WM6.1 based ROMs being released. From what I understand, the issue is a result of the OS being ripped from the Kaiser which does not have an IR port. You would have to ask no2chem, dcd, etc. if there is a way to port over the drivers but I suspect that this could remain an issue until Sprint (or other) releases an official WM6.1 ROM on a device that contains an IR port.
