keypad light

Ok just after having my phone for about 2 weeks it appears that the keypad light wants to stop lighting up when i'm dialing or typing. Could there be a program i have that could be preventing the light from coming on? Or this is just one of the several defects about this phone?

And wants ths auto light sensor thing about?

Re: keypad light

I had this happen once before; a soft reset fixed it for me and it never happened again.

Re: keypad light

Yeah. Also, check Start -> Settings -> Personal -> Buttons -> Backlight Tab

Make sure "Enable keyboard backlight auto sensor" is checked.

Re: keypad light

I leave mine checked and then it only comes on if the ambient lighting is not bright enough for me to see the keys, but if that worked for you, rock on!

If you leave it unchecked, the light will automatically turn on when you type on the keyboard.
