Ultimate Theft Alert
I ran across this nice piece of software this evening, very similar to the recently posted Sprite Terminator. It can be found here.

Re: Ultimate Theft Alert
Sprite Terminator would also seem useless if it has to be controlled through SMS... you send your phone an SMS and the thief is notified... duh. hrm.... *wonders*

Re: Ultimate Theft Alert
The phone doesnt display the SMS message. It is a silent send. I have tested this several times and I never see the actual text message.

Re: Ultimate Theft Alert
Does anyone know what the sms messages should look like that you send to the phone running Ultimate Theft Alert to get the GPS info? I cant find a user guide.
Sprite Terminator responds after it receives a txt with "spritecmd password gps" Last edited by Sifter; 03-25-2008 at 02:55 PM. |

Re: Ultimate Theft Alert
Sprite Terminator Rocks!!!
I've actually had my friend hide in the park with my phone, and told him that I could find him. I used his Tilt, sent a text with my password, got the coordinates and looked it up. Found him exactly where the phone said he was!

Re: Ultimate Theft Alert
According to the author, our devices are not supported yet.
"...the current version of the software does not work at all when there is no GSM Module. I'm planning to implement this feature in our next release. Will keep you updated. Regards, Carty.." |
