Sprint GPS problem

I did a search and couldn't find anything that really answered my question. I have the $30 vision pack and I'm having a problem with my Telenav. It keeps aking me for my credit card info. I called sprint and they verified to me that I have Free Gps, but they told me I needed to download there GPS. I told them I already had telenav and they told me it was the wrong one. They told me to look online and it said i need to go to my web browser type in "nav" and then follow the rest of the instructions. I tried this, but it keeps coming with an error. Is there really 2 different sprint GPS programs or is sprint giving me the run around. Thanks to anybody that can help me.

Re: Sprint GPS problem

i'm also having problems. i talked with a representative yesterday, and he set me up with sprint's navigation in addition to my unlimited data, for the same price i was paying before. however, when i launch sprint navigation, it says 'buy for a day, or buy for a month'. i call sprint's csr again, and they tell me to pay for it, and they'll make sure i'm not double billed. however, when i hit the 'buy monthly', it takes me to telenav's site, and wants my credit card info, which means i'd be paying two separate bills, and sprint wouldn't be able to do diddly about it. i don't want to do that, since my new plan should include sprint navigation already. i mean, it wouldn't break me, but 10 bucks is 10 bucks.

anyone else have this problem? what's the solution?

Re: Sprint GPS problem

I had the same problem and finally fixed it. It seems that when I tried out some of the different ROM's being offered by various persons on the web, my MDN got changed to a number other than my real cell number. Once I edited it back to the correct number, Nav worked!

Re: Sprint GPS problem

I had this sdame problem a few weeks ago. The Telenav program IS the Sprint Navigation client. I had to call support and have them take navigation off my plan and then put it back on. Then you have to wait up to three days before you try to login to Telenav. Once I did this I didn't have any problems and its a nice service.

Smile Re: Sprint GPS problem

Alright guys. After speaking to sprint for an hour. I was told to just put in your information when it asks you to pay for it. I was told that it will NEVER charge you and the program just needs you to go through the process. So what I did was put in a pre-paid credit card(that i use for paypal) number in there that didnt have any money on it whatsoever. It didnt charge it because there's not any money on there at all. I checked b4 I did it. That just proves that the program doesn't charge the card because we all know the card would have been denied if they verified funds at all. In short...Sprint Navigation is now working great.

Re: Sprint GPS problem

I had the same issue and they told me the same thing. After getting off the phone with CS, I opened the program and it connected no problem.

I like it so much that I am selling my Mio.
