Re: Sprint GPS problem

i'm also having problems. i talked with a representative yesterday, and he set me up with sprint's navigation in addition to my unlimited data, for the same price i was paying before. however, when i launch sprint navigation, it says 'buy for a day, or buy for a month'. i call sprint's csr again, and they tell me to pay for it, and they'll make sure i'm not double billed. however, when i hit the 'buy monthly', it takes me to telenav's site, and wants my credit card info, which means i'd be paying two separate bills, and sprint wouldn't be able to do diddly about it. i don't want to do that, since my new plan should include sprint navigation already. i mean, it wouldn't break me, but 10 bucks is 10 bucks.

anyone else have this problem? what's the solution?

Re: Sprint GPS problem

I had the same problem and finally fixed it. It seems that when I tried out some of the different ROM's being offered by various persons on the web, my MDN got changed to a number other than my real cell number. Once I edited it back to the correct number, Nav worked!

Re: Sprint GPS problem

I had this sdame problem a few weeks ago. The Telenav program IS the Sprint Navigation client. I had to call support and have them take navigation off my plan and then put it back on. Then you have to wait up to three days before you try to login to Telenav. Once I did this I didn't have any problems and its a nice service.

I'm still confused myself after reading many different posts. The first time I loaded it, it said that it was $2.99 a day or $9.99 a month - i closed the application and then a few days later loaded it up and i havent seen the message since. With the NEW rom update including GPS - you would think they would include the gps program that people with vision plans that have GPS are supposed to use.

I emailed sprint customer service to try to get some clarification and here is the email.

Re: Sprint GPS problem

Sprint Reps dont know a thing about Sprint Navigation or Telenav. That is mostly backwards. Sprint Navigation is powered by Telenav so all those features he listed under Telenav are all available in Sprint Navigation. Look at my previous post....try it that way and it will work fine. I havent been charged one red cent after giving them a CC. If you are charged Sprint will reimburse you.
