Just to let everyon know, I can see the Mogul on Sprint's site again under View All Phones.

It just seems weird that they remove a device altogether just because it is out of stock, or being upgraded to the new ROM... you'd think it say Backordered or Out of Stock.

Unless the Moguls with the new ROM become a new SKU... who knows...

My mom just received her phone in today. It came with the new ROM on it. When she called to have it activated and everything, she asked why it was delayed so long. They said it was because they were updating them with the new ROM before shipment. I guess so they can cut down the call volume when they get them and not realize they have to update the ROM for the GPS to work.

Good job, Sprint!

By the way, I don't remember spelling the work "two" incorrectly. As a matter of fact, I don't remember actually saying it anyways. So, I'll take those P@'s back... Thank you very much!

OKAY I work for SPRINT and you guys are correct... the Moguls that are in the warehouse ARE being flashed to the new rom here is a direct quote from the email that I recieved in my internal Employee site
Mogul (PPC 6800) - Direct Ship Status Update
The provisioning issue with the Mogul (PPC-6800) in our Warehouse has been resolved. As a result, Direct Ship orders can resume beginning today, 3/20 and the SKU will be reactivated in front-end order systems. Devices on backorder are currently being provisioned for fulfillment on a first-in, first-out basis with anticipated completion by COB today. The software used to provision devices in Retail Stores is working properly - the issue was limited to Warehouse provisioning.
Moguls being shipped will already be re-flashed with the new EV-DO Rev. A and GPS software which was announced on 3/10. There are no issues with this device software. Current Mogul users can upgrade their existing device with Rev. A & GPS software available at www.america.htc.com/mogulupdate or at www.sprint.com/downloads - select “Windows Mobile CE” from the pull down menu.


So dont worry it will be in stock very soon people!

Nobody knows what they're talking about... Who the hell knows when they'll be in stock? Probably only the manufacturer, which will only really know the answer when the phones are shipped, and then there's still no guarantee the phone's will make it during shipping, so that's not even a sure thing

Technically... nobody knows when the 6800 will be in stock again... You could talk to every single idiot that works for sprint, and I can guarantee you would get a different answer from every single one of them... You gotta love Sprint!

They're also in stock at the sprint store in my area I'm picking up a replacement tomorrow.
