Re: Internet Sharing With PS3
Connect to net with IS on phone. Go to network places view all network connections. Highlight both your phone network and the LAN network select bridge. You are now done.
With PDAnet right click PDAnet network icon select property’s click the sharing tab enable devices to share inter trough this connection. Select the new bridged network. You are now done. Without using a router use a cross over CAT5 cable from your PC lan card to the PS3/Xbox. With a router use a standard CAT5 cable to the router and then to the consol from the router. Some routers require your Ethernet cable to be places into the WAN from the PC and a number from the router to consol. Some routers require both connections to be number based IE a Node. Using a hub or switch just plug a standard Ethernet cable "cat5" into the hub from the PC and one from the hub/switch to the consol. A hub splits the data transfer rate in half divided by the amount of connected device. A switch does not. Enjoy internet on your ps3 with either connection method. Chris Scott |

Re: Internet Sharing With PS3
I'm not sure if the PS3 has a wireless connection, but if it does, you should look into the program WMWifiRouter, a thread can be found here:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...ght=wifirouter This program creates a wireless network using the data connection of your phone as a gateway to the internet. I have tested this program and it seems to work great. It's free for now because it is still in beta. Last edited by snowman8; 03-19-2008 at 12:55 AM. |

Re: Internet Sharing With PS3
It can be done. Your PS3 needs to be running a recent GNU/Linux distribution. I would recommend Debian. You plug the phone in with USB, configure wvdial, and then use wvdial to tether. This assumes you want to use it as a computer. No console gaming this way of course.

Re: Internet Sharing With PS3
If you have the wireless on the console you can use the wmwifi on the ppc and that will work. If you can not get the console to see it you need to check the setting in the wmwifi application. I have only tested this on Xbox360 but in theory there is no reason it would not work on ps3
