I dont think any of them show max speed. I have an 04 R1 and I used iGO to measure my speed, I hit 180mph and the GPS was dead on but it was scary as hell trying to read that small readout going that fast

Re: Vote for Best GPS Software (more complete poll)

I like live search cause it is free. The only reason I like it more than google maps is because google maps has my home address off by a couple of blocks. I can be at home and set home as destination and is says I must travel 2 blocks. Figure that out.

Iguidance (and probably most of the other "full"gps applications) has a log trip feature that will record speeds. Handy for contesting that traffic ticket?

how do you turn on the speaker when using Sprint Navigation(Telenav)? it doesn't give me the option on startup, and I don't see it in the options.

Re: Vote for Best GPS Software (more complete poll)

For me it's Garmin. Mainly because I already had a set of their maps for my GPS and I like the maps. I think it has TTS but I can't verify it. It can get live traffic and street cam updates though I'm not sure if it's free. There app itself is free and works well. However detailed maps do cost money but they're good maps.

My other check was for Google because it's simple and easy and has a satellite view. However that requires internet which I don't have except for WiFi. Also the point about being stuck in the middle of no where w/o and evdo is a good one to consider!

sorry! lol. ran outta space on the poll board. however- the "other" category is in the 6th position, and i guess that position would include iGo.

but i'm sure A lotta ppl would probably want to know that it doesn't take up massive space like the other ones, i.e. tomtom
