Rev. A - Could we get a little clarification?

Here's my story, please let me know if I'm doing something wrong or if this sounds normal.

I updated to the leaked 3.16 release to experience Rev. A speeds. I was pulling a little over 1000 down and a little over 100 up.

The official release drops and I'm seeing posts about people pulling even faster speeds with the official release.

I update, and after switching the setting in ##778# menu (I was pulling horrible speeds without changing it) I'm getting pretty much the exact same speeds as I was with the leaked update.

Is this normal? Anyone else with a similar story and result?

For reference, I'm doing speed test with ICS on a Network Bridge Connection with my Windows XP PC. And I'm usually pulling 2 or 3 bars at any given time.

Post your speeds (upload and down) with the settings on enable and disable. When it says DISABLE you should have better speeds, most noticeably the upload speed.

Re: Rev. A - Could we get a little clarification?

you're right. sorry for the confusion. im pulling a lot faster upload speeds with the data parameter stuff untouched.

only thing left to wonder is why people are pulling 2000kbps+ dl speeds... more towers?

so, use the instructions from the xda-developers post and this may strengthen the rev-a signal?

Weird, I'm getting x3 the speed here, but I'm in the city to the chances of me being in Rev A range are higher but still.
Some will say you can't tell from downloads but I sure as hell see a speed boost there and with uploads, my RSS updates and Weather Panel updates are extremely fast too.

All aspects of my Data is fast, Mobi TV, youtube & Skype are alittle better too. Not as much buffering from them as it was before the upgrade.

The drastic change makes me wonder if I live by a tower? Maybe not, my speeds before were ok and I've seen better in other areas of the city.

Oh BTW:

IMHO NO ONE SHOULD CHANGE OR TAMPER WITH THE REV A "DISABLE" SETTING!

Not sure if it common knowledge yet but "disable" means your Rev A is on.
Weird but true.

It appears to be true...want to see if others discover this as well.

Re: Rev. A - Could we get a little clarification?

ok, well i tried the edit like suggested, then i did this:

"##3282#, edit, msl, MENU, Restore, OK". After the soft reset do the OTA again and this should fix the corrupted data profile"

then i did the ota provisioning services thing through phone > settings > internet > start oata.

did i do this in an order that one step may offset the other?

the only problem im really having is seeing sub-par d/l speeds... not breaking 1200kbps. im guessing its strictly a signal issue, i usually only have 2-3 bars when tethered.
