Re: Post 3.35.04 Radio speeds here

Am I the only one getting consistently lower speeds after upgrading?

Prior to 3.35 i was averaging 600kbps - 800kbps

After upgrading haven't been able to break 250kbps
Ive tried dslreports all through the day, full service.

I've also tried enabling Rev A and running tests and the speeds just lingers between 150-220kbps

Is there something else that I have to enable or edit?

Thanks in advance

Re: Post 3.35.04 Radio speeds here

I have been getting from 230 - 760 being my best here in San Antonio, Tx using the dslreports as my tester. Tried with enabling the Rev A and my speeds were about the same either way. No big defference with it enabled or disabled.

Re: Post 3.35.04 Radio speeds here

Question..."regardless" to what the tests say...is anyone noticing an attention catching difference between rev o and rev a?? personally i'm not, and never have. i think most people are doing speed tests because...they can't tell a difference and are wondering if they're even on rev a. kinda like some slick, criss angel, mind tricking, what you thought you saw...u did not see, type of situation to me.

1x to evdo rev o, was a huge noticeable difference.
evdo rev o to evdo rev a, not even a semi noticeable difference. jus an optical illusion.

Re: Post 3.35.04 Radio speeds here

for me, the difference between rev0 and revA was night and day.

Rev0, I consistently got about 400-700kbps down, sometimes 900-1100kbps, but not often. Never more than 130kbps up. Latency was as low as 180ms, but usually was around ~250.

RevA, I consistently get 800-1300kbps down, and 400-550kbps upload, and I've had latency as low as 95ms, but it's usually hovering between 100-110, sometimes as high as 130, but NEVER as high as 180 like with rev0.

Specifically the decreased latency gives general web browsing a real, tangible feeling of increased speed. It's not so "laggy" feeling as it once was.

Re: Post 3.35.04 Radio speeds here

I had changed the Rev.A setting, but that didn't change a thing. I put it back to "disabled" which clearly turns it on.

I've got a feeling that the dsl reports speed test is TOO FAST for the browser on the device, because my speeds are never very fast.

But when I connect over wmwifirouter I get around 1800 with .503 seconds latency through a test on my desktop.

I changed my dns to OpenDNS which also makes a huge difference.

Re: Post 3.35.04 Radio speeds here

I've been pulling 1200-1300kbps down and 500-700kbps upload consistently. I do feel a difference (and did in 3.16 too), mostly in the reduce latency.

Re: Post 3.35.04 Radio speeds here

Ive been getting about 1200 down and 300 up,same as I got with the leaked rom. THe difference is that it stays connected. I am very happy with it now.

Where do you go to change the setting for Rev A from Disable to Enable?
