Re: Post 3.35.04 Radio speeds here

Ya its nice, Rev A tower about a mile away from my house. and being in CT i'm 1.5 hours from NY city and 2 hrs from Boston on a major corridor so reception is great everywhere around here.

Re: Post 3.35.04 Radio speeds here

I believe its was said earlier but the slow speeds some people are getting is a result of doing the tests directly from the phone. Pocket IE stinks and restricts the speeds of Rev A. Opera mini is not a true web browser so you will not get accurate reading using that either.

I consistantly get 2-2.5 while tethered with usb or wmwifi.
Using the phone only, i get aroud 450.

you can tell ifyou're in RevA by a few things.

1) the download speed will be like maybe 20-30% faster. Not always though
2) the upload speed is a key indicator here: If it's > 144kbps (the absolute MAX that EVDO Rev0 Can do) then you are for sure on RevA
3) decreased Latency: Rev0, you should see latency between 180ms and 300ms on average. Reva You'll probably see latency between 90ms and 150ms on average.
