MSN messenger on laptop signs out right away with internet sharing

Hey guys,
so I hooked up my internet sharing through my htc p4000 and everything else on the internet works except for msn messenger, it signs out right away. Does anyone have any tips or know of anything i can do to make the internet faster or have msn work? anyone else have the same issue?
