First of all, multi-touch is all software based. It is based on gestures. I have a friend developing multi-touch technology, its really neat. What I believe your asking for though is also what I want. That is an all glass screen without pressure sensitive touch....basically a "true" touchscreen(like the iphone).

The funny part is HTC can actually do it now and they won't not hard to do a exchange on the mogul for like the phone and 200 bucks. they can set it up through radio shack stores or something. and actually get there customers back.
