Not always....since I ported my number from Cingular to Sprint, my MDN is my current phone number and my MSID is a different 7 digit number that I presume is the internal Sprint phone number that my ported Cingular number maps to.

However, when I did the the upgrade to 3.16, I did the same thing as the OP. I didn't write down any of my numbers and got a recorded message from Sprint that my phone was not activated when I dialed a number. I called Sprint and told them that my phone stopped working and that I was getting the activation message and they walked my through the activation.

MDN is always your phone number. On the 30 or 40 examples I've seen from sprint, the MSID is never the phone number. I think you have to get it from sprint customer service if you don't have it.

yea it was 10 different numbers totally different from my phone number, but when I flashed over my rom to 3.16 nothing changed, everything was the same!!! Thanks everyone for the help, couldn't done it without the PCC GEEKS

It is made for windows mobile and wont run on the phone. I assume you mean getspc.
