the community has moved away from noise canceling headphones because noise isolating ones are better, especially for the money. Noise canceling headphones require processing of the sound (this is why jawbone with noisecancel microphone makes you sound robotic), while noise isolating canalphones just fit in your ear so well (and comfortably) that you don't need any processing. That processing technology cost $$ and power, while isolating can just concentrate on sound quality.
