6.1 Threaded SMS...how do i combine data files?

Few questions on the 6.1 built-in threaded SMS

1) How do i back up the data file?
2) Is there a way to combine the data file with my old cody ppc threaded sms file?
3) Is there a way to view the text messages in either the 6.1 file or the cody/palm backup files without loading them into the threaded sms application? (e.g. on your desktop)

I did a search but couldnt find anything on this.

From what I have read, threaded SMS on 6.1 uses the same style of data as used on the older version (POutlook), so any backup utility or PIMBackup should back them up.

Keep in mind I do not use 6.1, this is all info I have read here and there.

As far as combining the data from Palm threaded SMS with regular SMS data, I do not believe is possible.

Many people have asked about reading the data file from Palm threaded SMS on their desktop and nobody has foun a way yet.

For the regular SMS data file, there's a way with PIMBackup to back them up and then convert them into a CSV (comma separated value) file.

I believe it is in PIMBackup's manual.

I restored my PIM backup on 6.1 testing it out, and it inbox showed the message count, but would only show new SMS threads. I wanted to see my old messages too, but could never figure it out.

PPCPIMBackup will backup the WM6.1 threaded SMS. I believe it is stored in the email.vol file. I have backed up/restored WM6.1 threaded SMS many times on WM6.1 with PPCPIMBackup

, maybe I have A.D.D.
I will continue to search later, but has anyone found a way to put the WM6.1 built in threader on WM6.0 or is there one that is equivalent or better out there?

It has been discussed already...

It cannot be done because of how deep into Pocket Oulook and 6.1 the threader is.

When I restore my SMS conversations, the conversations are not properly threaded. My responses are at the bottom, while the person's replies are at the top. Also the time stamps are all accurate too. Is there anyway to fix this?
