You can make a custom Gif that has a bar with each frame it progresses a little more than the last that would be what I would try It would work quiet well I think!!!! If you want a real Progress bar that advances for real you would have to get ahold of a programmer and have him write a custom ROM for you to go ahead and suite your needs... BUT honestly besides you who is going to know that the progress bar is not real.
