Re: program for local radio stations?

I kind of understand what he is asking, which would be awesome. In a "related" matter, am looking for help. My old Nextel I930 worked with this, but can not get Mogul to work. As in the Fire Department, our county dispatch is broadcast over the internet to listen (yes, its a "wacker" thing). Anyway, it is sent out through Windows Media Encoder program. When I type in the IP address, it says codec missing and some other things too. Anyway, in the I930, I would just open up Windows in the phone and type in under URL: mms://68.**.**.**:8002 (of course numbers would be the actual IP). It just won't open up, any ideas? Thanks

i guess this is why i cant load the streams...cause i need GSPlayer?

Re: program for local radio stations?

You just need a program to play streams. GSPlayer is just the one I'm using but I'm sure there are others. My only issue with GSPlayer or any media player is that I need to learn how to make it override the power timeout. I will be watching a movie via Orb or streaming a station on GSPlayer and if I don't hit a button or touch the screen every so often, the backlight dims and the phone shuts off. I know there has to be an override for it someplace.

Have you tried typing that address in WMP after hitting "open url"?

Re: program for local radio stations?

If you have trouble streaming from a site try the thestreamcenter.com that was mentioned earlier. some stations like clear channel stations won't work normally, but if you use thestreamcenter.com they will work.

Hmm seems they want to charge me $25 for this program

I think I have a better way of getting it and keeping my $25...
