Anyone have this on their Mogul? Looks like its is steady and reliable. I just wanted to see if anyone else had it and what they thought of it

I have been using it for a week or two and I really like it. I have become a deviantart.com addict looking for icons as well as making my own for it. I replaced SPB Pocket Plus and couldnt be happier.

I love the flexibility and customization. It has a bit of a learning curve but its worth figuring it out. Dont look to the website for any kind of support unless you speak German.

I love UltimateLaunch!
I no longer have to worry about having too many favorite Today plug-ins on a tiny screen.

I use it to navigate through HTC Home, SPB Pocket Plus and Weather Panel.

Why would you use SPB pocket plus' today plugin when it essentially does the same thing as Ultimate Launch? I can see using HTC Home and many others but PocketPlus it just kind of seems redundant. Pocket plus is easier to find icon sets but other than that...

Just my two cents, once you try Ultimate Launcher you would not go back. It has numerous tabs, cube, gestures you can launch programs and websites. Its the the best.

While UltimateLaunch provide similar feature as SPB Pocket Plus, there are few things that I like SPB Pocket+ over the UL.
1st, Pocket+ has a superior hotkey management.
I can easily add and relocate hotkeys(even across tabs) and just as easily remove them.
I can choose to have either large or small icons, or have text or no text with breeze. And I like those unique indicator icons to check on free RAM or storage space.
I also like how Pocket+ highlights the hotkey icons when I press it.
But most of all.. I use SPB Pocket+ within UL.. because it can be done.

I think that is the key :drunken: I have pocket plus installed becuase of some of the other features but I do not use the today plug in at all.

It is harder IMO to make custom Icons for Pocket Plus than it is for Ultimate Launch and since UL uses standard .ico files they are much easier to find. You can control the size and all that with UL just like you can on PP4 you just cant go back and forth as easily.

The anwer is both. :)

It is a tabbed launcher that has the ability like SPB PocketPlus to have other today plug-ins installed one it. So you could replace HTC Home with UL and other today plugins or you can just make one of your tabs HTC Home.

I dont have any set but i think i know how to do it.

Add a new item either using XP icon if you want a custom icon or program Icon if you prefer. You may want to use the With Text option to keep them sorted.

On the first tab pick *.lnk option and find the link to the web browser you use. (using *.lnk is much easier as most of your links are in the /windows/Start Menu/Porgrams/ Folder)

THen under parameters enter the web address that you want it to open too.

I'm liking UL, but I'm having trouble with something...

After making program shortcuts, I find that the font for each shortcut is bigger than I like.

Is there a way to adjust the font size for shortcuts?

heres another questions... where in the world do u get all of these icons? i want to link websites which i now can because of "eehrhard" but where r the icons at?

There are a couple good places to get icons. Of course you can always google but if you want some really cool icons look around www.deviantart.com. You can also get an icon editing program (i use IconWorkshop) and you can pretty much turn any image into an icon.

www.crystalXP.net is good too.

I really enjoy Ultimate Launcher. I mainly use it to have a dedicated weatherpanel tab.

The only thing I don't like is that certain homescreen links cannot be placed in a tab. For instance, I can't add "tasks" or "date and time" to a tab, and a few others. Does anyone know a way around this?

Okay you stumped me for a second there. Okay I was able to get date and time linked. You need to do something a bit different.

The link is: \Windows\ctlpnl.exe
The Parameter is: cplmain.cpl,16

NOTE ctlpnl.exe has no icon so you will have to pick something else or use and XP icon.

This will work to add Time and Alarms. I will see if i can figure out tasks too. Do you mean Task Manager?

Spent all that time loading in the IPhone theme, just to take it out and load this in. This is much better that dealing with all the issues with WAD and WAD3. Easier to customize and everyone that has seen it thinks it looks better than the IPhone theme from before.

I meant "tasks" as in my "to do list" (e.g., take out the trash, pick up dry-cleaing, etc). If you go under normal "settings" for your today screen, it's listed a simply "tasks".

I assume it must be some sort of exe., but I can't find it.

That's the text I'm talking about.

Also, I've set up 3 tabs, but after a period of inactivity, the Today screen only shows the UL tabs, without showing the tab's contents.

For example, I have one tab labeled "HOME" that I have linked to the SPB Phone Suite Plug-in. However, upon hitting the power button to turn it on, I have to click on the "HOME" tab in order to see the plug-in.

Can I set up UL so that upon powering up, it shows the HOME tab's contents by default?

I installed it.. Great. was messing around with it, and created a test something, and now my phone locks up every time it boots into windows.. Anyone know how to go into safe mode on windows mobile????

My phone wont even ring!!!!!

This one is easy...just add a new icon, and find the .lnk at the following path:

"\Windows\Start Menu\Programs". While in there, the tasks link is labled as "Tasks.lnk"

i didnt kno anyone around here knew anything about this app. ive been using it for a while now. its aight.... like the others said in the earlier posts, u wouldnt use anything else like spb pocket plus or stuff like that after u try this. its ok. but i dont use it as much now as i did when i first got it.

ummm.... if u havent installed any safe mode programs onto ur phone before it locked up, then i think u got urself into a hard-reset situation buddy.

Actually, I think it works well as a supplement to SPB Pocket Plus.

Pocket Plus is much easier to use for creating shortcuts. It's easier to use Pocket Plus for all of your shortcuts, and then create a new Tab in UL that uses Pocket Plus as a plug-in.

I dont think you can change the text size. At least I have not found a way yet.

I cant reproduce your second issue. Do you have the HOME tab setting Open tab on start up checked?

Do you use Sprite Backup? If so you might try backing up from your desktop.

Like the other guy said if you dont have a safemode installed i dont know what you will be able to do.

I did this the other day. I think i crupted the ini file. I had to open in safe mode and uninstall and reinstall UL.

Gotcha.

Okay, now I have the tasks (and the icon) displayed, but the text is missing. It doesn't have the usual "4 active tasks" or however many i have going on.

I'm using a classic black theme, do I have black on black text somwhere or what?

im using this now after being a dedicated pp user forever and it doesnt seem too bad. you just have to watch what programs you integrate into it or youll be doing a hard reset like i had to on 3 occasions today. not too bad though whats the biggest icons everyones getting on there display? im not sure of mine but they look possibly 42? i cant get anything larger to work

Ultimate Launch has many nice features but it takes a lot of patience and trial and error, the documentation isn't very clear. Someone who has had success needs to help out a bit with the customization?

Need help with Notification Error-Ultimate Launcher
 

I'm looking for any advice on solving this problem. I installed the IPhone theme with WAD and WAD3 and then uninstalled WAD and WAD3 to replace with the Ultimate Launcher. Now every time that I turn on my phone it says "Notification Error: Cannot execute \program files\lakeridge\wisebar advance desktop\wakeup.exe . Any advice on what I can do to stop this???
