Has anyone else noticed that at 12 noon the time display in Battery Status with the HTC theme shows as 12:00 AM. It will show this until it rolls to 1:00 PM. Any ideas?

No, but I also noticed at midnight it shows 0 rather than 12. If you find a fix, please post it here.

I thought Ultimate Launch was the sh**, then I downloaded the trial for spb mobile shell 2.0....

Now I'm going to play with both and watch memory... the mobile shell 2.0 is rather addicting though with its 16 contact photodialer

Still hard to beat UL for overall coolness... I may end up using both together LoL

Someone PLEASE come up with a full page photo dialer for UL !?!

Well there are options out there for a photo dialer.

This one is $20 but has a trial if you want to try it. The price is a bit steep IMO.

Another option (free) is to use a freely available program called vjdialer in conjunction with either rltoday or batterystatus. You can create shortcuts with vjdialer to dial any number you want. Create your shortcuts and incorporate them into a rltoday or batterystatus xml them you create and you have a free photodialer. Below is an example of one made using rltoday and vjdialer. You could use modify its xml to make it incorporate more photos pretty easily.

I have messed with rltoday and I really found it kind of intimidating, I am no dummy but I'm not a programmer either and learning mortscript to get a dialer seemed like a bit much...

maybe I can adapt that one from the rltoday page.

Hey guys my first post been reading a bit and decided to customize my mogul 6800 after having it for months....lol...never knew it had all these incredible upgrades and even better for free.......For my first question im trying to use the Ultimate launcher file...But have no clue on the steps for downloading it directly from my phone.....When you download it using ur phone and unzip the file is there a special folder i need to create so the file automatically goes to that folder? or will it go directly to program files or settings? After u unzipp the file what is the next step to get the program running ? I saw the youtube video and its very nice but it doesnt explain the extracting of files process from zip to ur phone?....Thanks guys great site.....

How is it on RAM usage? I used to have a pretty loaded today screen with just about every SPB product. I then cut back to save on ram and my device is much faster.

UL is excellent on ram. You are able to pick and choose what loads automatically and you can even default to a blank tab to really maximize your ram. I have UL with SPB Phone Suite, BatteryStatus(also GREAT and barely sips ram), Weather Panel on the today screen and am always sitting right around 20MB using DCD's 2.3.1 WM 6.1 Rom

i had to hard reset 3 times due to this program. Very iffy. Do you associate htc home or htc home plug?

I would skip HTC Home all together and download Stroths BatteryStatus cab that replicates HTC Home but without the memory leak and non-flexibility.

You can also make shortcuts to makephonecall.exe using UL and assiging an icon to it and uset the phonenumber as the parameter. This will allow speed dials as well. You just do not get the pics of the callers unless you convert each pic to a .ICO file. But it works

I was, but after mobile shell I uninstall ultimate launch. It might have been the HTC home that was causing my problems? with HTC home, SPB MS 2.0, and UL, the phone would take awhile moving tabs sometimes.

I searched entire Windows folder and could not find MakePhoneCall.exe file.

Is there by any chance you could upload that file?

Battery Status is amazing. UL + BS is so much faster than Running HTC Home. And I don't have to wonder where my memory ran off to either.

Stroths, I would like a windows media today plugin of some sort on the today screen. That is the only reason I haven't switched to your config. Do you know of any offering out there? I like how I can use HTC home and just click to Windows Media player easily. Since I coudn't find a solution, i just mapped Windows media to a hard button using AE button plus(which you sold me on, btw).

I will probably do without HTC home in my next configuration

Are you looking just to be able to play music from the today screen? There are a couple choices if so. Contuits Pocket Player has a Today Screen Plugin that lets you control the player. HTC's media player plugin might do what you are looking for too.

YESSSS Ultimate Launcher can make its own photo dialer, see this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=370285 ... you will need an iconmaker that can make 32bit xp icons (i attached one i found on the net *note* just remove the .zip from the end of the filename..this runs on the DESKTOP not PPC))

and here is a screen shot

Ultimate LAunch now does everything I need...Clock (retroclock, i set an 'upswipe' gesture to open 'windows\clock.exe' to access alarm settings), Weather (weatherpanel), Dialer (UL), and Launcher of any type app.... running DCD 2.3.2 kitchen WM6.1, 18 meg free after using ALL DAY ... watch video, bluetooth, text, email, phone .... Ultimate Launch ROCKSSSSSS

yes it's in this thread or the other UL thread. Someone was nice enough to iclude the theme and prog in a cab file.

I relized that after playing around with the BS/UL combo, that I liked a more sophisticated and cleaner look. HTC was great till I relized I could use my design background.

ok...so i installed this program...tried to tie my HTC home to the ultimate launcher and now my phone is frozen on the screen where i put in my password after a soft reset...what is going on!!!

Yes. You can use any today plugin based clock (SBP time etc.) Or you can customize the included clock with a different face. There are some nice ones floading around. I think Retro Clock has been linked to in this thread or the other UL thead. Battery Status is great plugin with a clock and much more.

I had this happen 4 times and i was pist but had to hard reset. Lost everything but did have contacts backed up. Once hard reset i installed from bigning as like my 3rd program and messed around till working. Then spent mult hours installing everythiing again. Sry this program is touch in my eyes.

thanks....looks like i wont be putting it on my phone because i spent a lot of time putting all of this sutff on my phone and i dont really want to do a hard reset again!!!

Anything could cause your phone to have to be hard reset. You might want to look into getting a backup software like sprite or SBP then a recovery is a 5 min thing and easy. Also installing a safemode program can prevent programs.

UL is a great program and once you get it how you like it should not give you any problems.
