nueAudio - audiopara.csv editor

I finally finished nueAudio, an audiopara.csv editor for the titan. It probably could be made to work with other devices, but at the moment it is only for the titan. It has support for profiles and should be able to configure almost every parameter audiopara can configure.

http://www.weienterprises.com/nue/nueaudio.png
You can find it at http://www.weienterprises.com/nue

If you encounter any problems, please let me know. It is written in c# so it is not as optimized as it should be, but i don't think the small performance hit justifies the headache of writing it in c++.

The first time it runs, it will create a default.nueaudio xml file with your default device settings. Any profiles you create will be saved in your windows directory as *.nueaudio.

This will be integrated into build 5047 of nueRom 2.0.

OK went to your link and dowloaded the cab file there but when i tried to install on my phone it says it was unsuccessful was not intended for this version of the device????? so now what?

sanjsrik 02-14-2008 01:24 PM

you need to get the 4iarm version, i did the same thing.

One dumb dumb question, how does it work? I see sliders 5 in all for different drop-downs, what do the sliders DO?

Does moving them 1-5 to the right from the left increase volume? Why 5 sliders? Any help would be appreciated.

dearls 02-14-2008 01:28 PM

ok trying now and thanks so much man,,, Really sucks all this messing around just to hear better on an expensive toy LOL
Success!!! thanks so much, now onto playing with my volumnes lol

dearls 02-14-2008 01:55 PM

ok all worked and i can run the nueaudio program just fine will see what diff it makes for me now.
Woah! should have told us about the settings in this and warned us that setting the highest level is way load and it actually will back feed in your ear, think im deaf now lol
and tutorials on the best settings to use? thanks again

I second that warning from dearls. I used the application, not really sure what I was setting, and well, to be perfectly honest, the feedback was atrocious. Is there any idea of what the settings are and what are optimal settings for the Mogul?

does anyone know if we can use this to fix the audio out adapter problem?

i have no clue what the ideal settings are supposed to be. but if anyone has any good settings, feel free to post your nueaudio file. I'd actually like it if someone posted settings they like. The application does have a warning about settings possibly damaging your ears/device..

the 0 bars refer to the sound settings in windows, so setting 0 is the volume at level 0, setting 1 is the volume at level 1, etc.

Am i the only one running build 5047 and getting errors when I attempt to move any of the sliders? I flashed this build so i could increase volume, but no such luck thus far.

I did install Audio Manager and some Touch items(Dialer, CommMgr, Calc) and Pocket Informant.

Help? lol

Cool. I ran it, had to install .net 3.5 and then ran it again. I got it to work once but now I just get unexpected errors. NullReferenceException at nueAudio.Form1.trackBar6_ValueChanged(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.TrackBar.... etc. I can fire up MyMobiler and give a screenshot if you need the whole error report.

hmm, if you could give me the error report that would be nice. And what you do just before it crashes.

Are you running a 3.16 rom? Is your audiopara.csv modified?

you know, there should be a file with a *.nueupdate extension in your /windows folder. it should be named whatever you named your profile, or custom if you never named it. btw, you can save profiles in file>save custom.... also another question: why are all your volume levels(0-5) the same?.... you know that when you do that the windows volume control has no effect.

Re: nueAudio - audiopara.csv editor

I have my settings set under a custom profile heading and if you look closely, you will see that they are not the same... however very close. This is what it took to achieve the overall consistent balance. And I am still able to perform hardware & software volume maintenance...

ah, i see.... try this
in nueAudio.. file>save custom profile
call it whatever you like, "My settings" or something.

go to /Windows/"whatyounamed your profile".nueaudio, and post it here =)
other people can copy and paste profiles here to share.

Re: nueAudio - audiopara.csv editor

The settings I posted work for me ( ie, stereo BT, Live Search, voice calls, etc) but I recommend slight to moderate modifications in order to achieve the best user-defined settings. Afterall, no2chem's audiopara application gives us so much more more to work with that trial & error and repeat will yield the best results and there are many combinations depending upon personal taste...

Yes, it WILL make a large difference in BT volume as my BlueAnt Micro X3 has becoming almost irritatingly loud and must be reduced by about 40% by scroll wheel during a call in order to provide a pleasant in-call experience.

I posted my profile since no one had yet to... I was hoping to start a basis from which to build upon...Everyone can change the settings to tailor their individual taste. Just remember to save them to a custom profile.

And yes, I am often guilty of speaking in a loud, obnoxious demeanor because I may me slightly deaf...
but then I do like to be heard... ;-)

Re: nueAudio - audiopara.csv editor

I opened xweaponx's .neuaudio file using textpad and saw that it was nothing more than an XML file (below). Also, change the "My Profile" text in the XML file where the parameter is <Collection="My Profile"> or else you'll see in Neuaudio:

My Profile
Default Settings
My Profile

So, if these are numbers that can be manipulated directly in the XML settings, that means that the sliders are actually SETTING numeric values that can be pretty accurate. Now, if we can figure out a range for each of these settings (low, medium, loud), then this becomes a simple exercise in:

For low settings - change values to between this range
for medium settings - change values to between this range
for loud settings - change values to between this range.

Anyone want to take a shot at this? I'm going to try some testing today to see what I get, but this file should be easily manipulated by a simple text editor on the PocketPC.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><Collection name="My Profile">
<Setting name="PHONE_HEADSET_VOL" single="false" level0="54557" level1="46573" level2="50232" level3="50898" level4="50565" level5="51810" />
