Nice work.

The real question is how can you stand watching that much video on the moguls crappy screen?

I mostly stream the news while at work so its mostly listening and glancing when something of interest catches my attention. I have to say though that DVD conversions look very nice when played full screen in landscape mode and are very watchable....to me anyway.

A wireless keyboard would work nicely with the stand I think.

Did you use anything to weigh it down or just the angle it sits?

No weights used. Just make sure the base extends back far enough to support the weight of the phone.

Now lets get some kind of protetive cover on the metal part so it does not scratch the phone

The only metal parts are two small bolts and the hinge, none of which com in contact with the phone. The part that holds the phone is completely plastic. Maybe a felt lining inside the holder....but it really doesn't seem necessary.

It doesn't show it in the picture but the base is actually two layers of plastic, the top of which is slotted and can be extended back if needed to supprt the added weight of a heavier phone or PDA.
