Turn off screen while music is playing

First I'd like to apologize in advance if this is posted elsewhere. I tried to search but couldnt find an answer. Pardon my ignorance if my search capabilities are limited. Now to my question, i was wondering how to turn the screen off when music is playing through windows media player or through the HTC home plugin. After a minute, the screen dims but I cant seem to turn it off without stopping the music. Is there a workaround? I am open to using a different media player as well. Thanks in advance! This site has helped me out so much as the mogul is my first PDA phone (had it since Nov).

From the main screen (Where the controls are, not your playlist)... go to [MENU] on the bottom right.. [OPTIONS].. look at the tabs on the bottom and find "Buttons" then at the bottom of the list is a Screen Blank option. Just Assign a button.

You could also try a app like ScreenToggle

Or you could just modify the following registry settings:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\ Preferences]
"UnattendedPlayback"=dword:1
"FastCacheReserve"=dword:00800000
"LocalCacheReserve"=dword:00800000

Or try my .cab which does it for you:

Other players have the same feature or time-out features, but they are also not as easy to find. I use Pocker Player and it works like a charm...

I use GSplayer which is at:

Has a LOT of features and is free. I use it for streaming shoutcasts all the time.
