How to disable the SMS "message sent" popup.

I just did this today.

First you will need to download a registry editor. i downloaded and used the PHM Registry Editor

http://www.phm.lu/downloads/download.aspx?{940B734A-C437-41C7-ADED-2A4418802FD3}

at the bottom of the page select Pocket PC 2002,2003 (arm/pxa)

then download it.

Next instal the registry editor on the phone

Go to start > programs > and run the registry editor and follow the steps below:

Make the following registry change:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Inbox
create a new key "Settings"
create a new string value "SMSNoSentMsg" and set the value to 1
Hit ok and select "Ok" to save and you are in business.

This is not even related to my problem!

I tried installing the DCD Rom. Still have the same problem. I wonder if HTC Home is what solves it? I am using SPB Shell instead.

I had this happen to me by accident. I installed the sms-chat program from iwindowsmobile.com and i didnt like the program and uninstalled it. Well when I had the program installed they hav their own custom notifcation screen that shows up an takes the place of the standard one. Well when I uninstalled the program, i never got that stock notification screen back. The orange light went off and my message count still went up on the phone, but didnt have that notifaction pop up.Hope this helps.

Did you receive any messages while the program was installed?

Cool Re: Disabling notifications - I will pay for a working solution!

** BUMP **

This is annoying... anyone figure out how to PREVENT the notifications from popping up and changing the Soft Keys?

And yes, I did go to SETTINGS --> SOUNDS & NOTIFICATIONS

Thanks,
Jon

Re: Disabling notifications - I will pay for a working solution!

i can't find anything in either advanced config or sk tools. The only way I've seen to disable the system notifications was with wisbar, but i'm not sure if it stopped the changing of the soft keys.
