Your phone has a touchscreen which makes it a Pocket PC instead of a smartphone. I think it's a silly term, since I had a Pocket PC which was NOT a phone before, so they're confusing their terms, but still, it's a Pocket PC by technicality.

Ya I guess that's weird because Verizon, for instance, classifies my phone in their "Smartphone" category...

They call these things "smart phones" generically because of their added features over a "dumb phone" but due to the old naming scheme of Windows Mobile, people tend to use "smart phone" for a phone without a touch screen running Windows Mobile and the touch-enabled ones are dubbed Pocket PC's.
