Pic/Video & Text Messaging not working

I have a Alltel HTC PPC6800 and I've lost the Pic/Video and the Text Message option on my phone. I downloaded PPCGeeksSprintMMS to my phone to make it easier to receive picture messages. When I downloaded the program, no one could see anything I typed in my text message. I removed the program and reset the phone. After I did that, I noticed that my MMS Configuration had changed my server to a Sprint PCS server. The option to add a new server has been grayed out. Is there anyway I can fix this?

You will have to know the MMS server for Alltel, I can't help you with that one I am afraid. This thread http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...56&postcount=3 has the registry edit you would need to do to edit the server.

On a side note, what made you think that a CAB named PPCGeeksSprintMMS would work for Alltel's MMS system? Even if the Sprint server would work for you, the PPC access to the MMS server at Sprint has apparently been removed, so it won't work for anyone at the moment anyways using the Sprint address.

Sprint blocked picture mail.

Please search before posting, this is ALL OVER the forums, in multiple threads.

When I used the CAB, i didn't think that it would have that kind of effect of my phone. A mistake on my part. As they say, "The more you know......"

WTF just got my HTC touch. Which apparently after 5 hours on the line with tech support, has a "known issue" with the sprint TV app. Now this. I still have 30 days to go somewhere else. Wonder if cingular gets coverage at my house.

I see people keep saying that Sprint has blocked MMS. Have Alltel and Verizon done the same? The OP was asking about pic and vid messaging on Alltel's network. I am also on the Alltel network and have not yet been able to MMS since upgrading to 6.1. I am currently downloading a ROM that may show promise. I'll let folks know of my findings.
