Help - Orange Vertical Line showing up on pics

The weirdest thing. In camera mode, The viewer shows an orange verticle line. I have no idea how it got there or how to get rid of it. It's permantly in the view finder only in camera mode and all the pic I take have this orange line that is about a 1/3 of the screen to the right. Anyone have any ideas why this is and how to remedy it. I tried everything from a soft reset, to cleaning the lens, playing with the settings but nothing works.

Well mine started doing this recently too. I have no idea why. Unfortunately I also have a blue line to go with my orange one (see attached sample). I'm thinking this is a bad camera issue. I've been putting off a trip to the Sprint store 'cause this is the only issue I've had so far and would really hate to do a refurb swap, but I think that may be the only way to solve this.

Hopefully someone may know how to remedy this because I bought mine new from a guy from California instead of directly from Sprint so I don't have a receipt. So swapping for a new one from Sprint probably isn't even an option for me.

I had that issue on my last one. Upon doing some research on the net, it seems that is the popular way for the cameras on HTC phones to fail. Nothing you can do to fix it, but get the phone replaced.

I am not an expert when it comes to equiptment replacement plan but I believe you can get the $7.00 plan (they will call you on the handset to verify that it is currently working), then you could get the handset replaced. Please others chime in if this is not accurate information.

kk awesome news, just went to sprint with my one week old phone with this issue (new in box) and of course I didn't want them to swap it with a furb.. They actually replaced the entire camera module in the phone! Works great!
