Camera on wrong side?

When I use the camera in portrait the screen rotates to the opposite of the keyboard is this normal? It’s annoying I want the camera to be in the same screen orientation as when the keyboard is open.

I thought about this also, then I realized that if the screen were flipped over I would have to use my thumb to press the camera button to take the picture since i don't like pressing the d-pad. That and it felt awkward holding it and keeping my fingers off the lens.
