Here's the fix...If you restored a backup from 2.17 rom and broke your GPS on 3.16

I had way too many apps installed on my mogul to rebuild it after upgrading to the new 3.16 gps rom. So after some trial and error here is the fix to get the gps working again if you restored a backup from a previous rom and broke it. I had a couple issues after the restore. The sound stopped working so I replaced the audiopara.csv file from the one mentioned earlier in this tread from xda forums. I also could no longer sync with WMDC on my vista box, so I renamed a couple of database files and pasted the ones in from my 2.17 rom backup. Im not going to get into that unless someone wants the instructuions because this might not have happened in your case. Well here's the good stuff...

1. Have a reg editor installed. (resco registry editor or PHM registry editor if you like it free)
2. Go to HKLM\Drivers\Builtin\GPSID
3. You will see a Dll entry with a value of GPSID.dll
4. Click on that entry to modify it and change the string value to GPSID_QCT.dll
5. Save and soft reboot. Go into google maps or whatever your using and access the built in GPS...Voila!! Your mogul will now find the GPS!! (You need to make sure that your using com4 in gps settings with a 4800 baud rate of course.) It seems that the restore I did made the mogul use the wrong gps driver. We just have to get in the registry and point it back the the correct driver that the 3.16 rom gave us. Let me know how it work out for you. My mogul is back at 100% functionality with a complete Sprite restore from a backup created on a 2.17 rom. This includes all my hacks. Even my Voice Command activation and caller ID through bluetooth works. Good luck and happy GPS'ing!!
